This is no time to whine...no time
to complain. It really doesn't matter how you got
to be as large as you are. What really matters is that you
resolve to take control of your situation. Immediately.
As in today.....as in right now.
I feel for ya.
I sympathize.
I've been there.
And I did something about it...so now's your
turn.
You can only dream about how much your life
will change when you lose the extra poundage. Is it
expensive? Sure...but the good news is that more and more
insurance companies are jumping on the bandwagon and signing the
line to help you get this surgery, because they know the long-term
effects of obesity. It's a national epidemic; it must be
serious if we can squeeze a deduction out of the IRS
for the treatment of obesity. And speaking of deductions:
Look at the potential tax write-off you're gonna pick-up when you
donate all of your wardrobe to a needy charity here in Southern
California! [There's a bunch of well-dressed chunky guys out
there enjoying my donations!]
So here's the
deal: Hundreds of KFI listeners have contacted
me wanting guidance on getting this surgery in Southern
California. Now I've delivered on my mission statement, and
found a hospital and a team of surgeons that have a great
reputation and I feel pretty good about sending you to for this
life-changing surgery.
You need to do your homework...and it all
starts on the website of Methodist
Hospital in Arcadia. Spend some time
perusing their site, then give them a call
at (888) 388-2838
and sign up for one of their monthly [free!] informational seminars.
(They call 'em symposiums and it sounds so....stuffy!!!)

Anyway, you need to go play 20
Questions with their staff...let them make
you smarter about the surgery and explain how the insurance
approval process works. Once you're satisfied with that part
of the equation, then it's time to do your homework on the team of
skilled surgeons that will be doing the re-plumbing...I mean, performing
your surgery.
And let me beat you to the punch and
save you the time and effort of e-mailing me questions that I'm
answering below:
a.
I had the surgery done in Texas.
b.
I had it done by my Doc in Dallas.
c.
If you lived in North Texas, I'd refer you to
him.
d.
But you don't...and I won't. However...I
think you'll like the team of surgeons and the surgical facility
at Methodist
Hospital in Arcadia.
What else?
The ball's in your court...either you're in or
you're out. The quality of your future and your life rests
with you, as always.
Good luck...and
lemme know how things work out for you.
